The platform

Integrated job-training and skill management tools designed for day-to-day operations
Champ integrates skill management and the completion of practical job-training. The platform provides the employee, trainer, training manager, team leader and production management with tools that can build, operate and scale an efficient and effective training set-up.
Role-based skill management

Skill management and achievement of the associated skill goals are often the responsibilities of the department manager. In order to solve these tasks, the platform contains a role-based skill matrix in which employees can be divided into departments, teams or shifts.
Overview of skills with goals and gaps
The skill matrix displays the associated employees and their status in the relevant roles (job functions). To ensure fully operational teams, goals can be set for each department. The skill gaps of the department will be highlighted based on the employee composition and current training requirements.
Interactive skill matrices integrated with training plans
Initiation and follow-up of role-based job-training programs are also integrated in the overview of skills. Once the manager has initiated training for an employee in a specific role, the employee and trainer get access to a training plan, training tasks and training material. Since training elements can be shared across roles, the platform manages whether the employee has already completed individual elements.
Digital training plans

Trainer and employees have access to training plans and training tasks. They may be supported by training material and access to relevant instructions. When training tasks are completed for an employee, the platform automatically saves information about persons who completed training, which version of training material was used, and when. At the same time, the status is updated in the manager's skill matrix.
Training material and instructions in the right formats

Training tasks may be supported by training material and access to relevant instructions. Training material can be loaded directly into the platform in the form of text, documents and videos. It is possible to link to relevant documents, e.g. instructions, guides and SOPs, in a document management or quality management system.
Timeline for planning and follow-up

Planning and follow-up are often essential elements in ensuring consistent completion of job-training. The platform therefore has a visual overview that is targeted at the manager’s planning and follow-up on training programs. Here the start and end times of the training programs and progress since the last follow-up are presented.
Role-based training plans with reuse of training modules

The platform allows users to manage which training requirements are related to specific job functions as well as requirements for the retraining frequency and for documentation of completion. Training modules can be reused across multiple job functions. In practice, this means that once an employee has been trained in job function A, the employee may have completed 30% in job function B, which has overlapping training requirements.
Training in case of process changes

When processes are added or modified to a degree that requires orientation or training, the platform uses roles to manage which employees are affected. It is possible to manage responsibility for the completion of training, and the people who are responsible have overview of the completion status and outstanding tasks. Department managers see the impact on their employees' training degree in the roles affected.
Expiry management

The platform allows you to work structured with retraining or process confirmation in carefully selected processes or training tasks. Here, the platform provides support by managing the retraining frequency and automatically generating training tasks for relevant people.

User-friendly and designed for operation

The philosophy behind the platform is that relevant people should be able to perform the task on site and in the situation where it is naturally performed. With a minimum of IT skills. Here are a few examples:
Trainers should focus on executing training - not on documenting training
Trainers have access to training plans and relevant materials and receipt of employees’ signatures for completed training. This takes place on a mobile device, in the training situation and often in the working area.
Employees must have access to the instructions - at the machine
A three-digit code, which can be found on e.g. the production equipment, allows anyone to access specific or a collection of instructions.
Instructions can be made in the working area - not only at the office
Editors of instructions can record videos, change instructions and publish them on a mobile device while being at the machine. It is also possible to create, modify and structure training material from the office using a larger screen.
